The hunt's circle shrinks over 30 days until it pins the exact spot (official rules). Started 8:28 PM MDT, May 18 2026 → reveal ~Jun 17 2026, 8:28 PM MDT (Jun 18, 02:28 UTC).

The evidence chain (physics only)

Honest call: Black Rock VF, UT is now eliminated by the live circle (337 km from center — 157 km outside the current radius). The contest is now Nevada-only. Physics still can't separate Reveille from Lunar Crater — longitude rides on an unknown clock offset (~+15 min → Reveille, ~+18 min → Lunar Crater) and no clock-free discriminator exists in the imagery. The circle center has been drifting NW toward both NV candidates; Reveille VF, NV is marginally closer to it. Earlier confident pins (Black Rock, 110.5°W) were assumption-driven.

Caveats

Longitude rests on the inferred ~8-min clock offset (unverifiable without ADS-B). If the clock were exact, the scene would sit at 110.5° W — but no young basalt exists there, so that branch is disfavored. Subfield markers are approximate (town-referenced); refine with USGS polygons. "Waterfall Hunt" is a codename — the scene is an arid basalt slope, no waterfall.
